First Day of School, Again ….

For the 94 ^th consecutive year, Winter Park’s not-for-profit, community owned, Welbourne Nursery & Preschool began another year of loving, early childhood care and education!

Since 1927, Welbourne has faithfully served the children, of our city’s working parents, from age 6-weeks to five-years-old ~ providing them about 750 healthy meals per week, supplying free optometric, dental, and counseling care, and featuring Nemours Telemedicine when there is sickness.

Partnering with the City of Winter Park, Welbourne now utilizes an innovative outdoor classroom where the kids plant gardens, tend them, calculate, and deliver the care that will be needed, and then, happily experience ‘ harvest day.”

Welbourne’s faculty utilizes the very latest in early childhood education technologies, provides daily informational updates to the parents, assesses the children as they move from year to year, and screen for special needs.  While over 94-years old, Welbourne’s programs are as new as tomorrow!
